Mengly Hernandez

Mengly Hernandez journey began with a silk sceening class, which soon led to her experimentation making scarves on her living room floor.  First, for herself and friends, later for customers. What started as a hobby has now grown into a business with customers worldwide.

Linea Germania is a sustainably responsible brand that is carried in stores throughout the US, Sweden, Japan, France and the U.K. Among them Steven Alan Japan, Solange Knowel's Saint Heron shop, The Cooper Hewitt museum shop and The Brooklyn Museum shop.  Hernandez still makes all the patterns, often drawn by hand. A passion for textures, colors and shapes is deep rooted and inspired by her grandmother, a lover of beauty who's discerning eye extended to interiors and bold personal style. Hernandez, finds inspiration in varied places the world over. Her design process is instinctual and intuitive.
